This reform is designed to produce a skilled workforce capable of competing in the global market while preserving Nepal's cultural heritage. संघीय मन्त्रिपरिषद्ले सार्वजनिक र निजी दुवै विद्यालयका लागि मानक राष्ट्रिय पाठ्यक्रम अनिवार्य गर्ने एउटा ऐतिहासिक शिक्षा नीति स्वीकृत गरेको छ। बालेन शाहको नेतृत्वमा सरकारले विभिन्न शैक्षिक तहहरूबीचको खाडललाई कम गर्ने र गुणस्तरीय शिक्षामा समान पहुँच सुनिश्चित गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ। यस नीतिमा व्यावसायिक तालिममा ठूलो लगानी र कक्षाकोठामा प्रविधिको एकीकरण समावेश छ। यसबाहेक प्रशासनले सीमान्तकृत समुदायका विद्यार्थीका लागि नि:शुल्क उच्च शिक्षाको घोषणा गरेको छ। यो सुधार नेपालको सांस्कृतिक सम्पदाको जगेर्ना गर्दै विश्वव्यापी बजारमा प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न सक्षम दक्ष जनशक्ति उत्पादन गर्न डिजाइन गरिएको हो।
