Senior leader and parliamentary party leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been appointed as the prime minister.
President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed Shah as prime minister. The government led by Shah will consist of an optimized 15-minister cabinet, demonstrating a commitment to efficiency over political appeasement.
"Although the Constitution allows for a 25-member Cabinet, the number of ministries has been reduced to 15, honoring the pledge to reduce administrative overhead and streamline public service."
