By integrating green spaces and pedestrian-friendly zones into urban designs, the government aims to create livable cities that honor their cultural heritage while providing modern amenities and efficient public services for the rapidly growing urban population. दिगो शहरी विकासलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्दै नेपालका सांस्कृतिक स्थलहरूको संरक्षण गर्न नयाँ शहरी योजना तथा सम्पदा संरक्षण नीति ल्याइएको छ। प्रशासनले काठमाडौं उपत्यका र अन्य महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थानहरूमा रहेका ऐतिहासिक स्मारकहरूको जीर्णोद्धारमा ध्यान केन्द्रित गरिरहेको छ। नीतिमा नयाँ निर्माणहरूले परम्परागत वास्तुकलालाई ओझेलमा नपार्ने सुनिश्चित गर्न कडा भवन संहिताहरू समावेश छन्। शहरी डिजाइनहरूमा हरियाली क्षेत्र र पैदल यात्रीमैत्री क्षेत्रहरू एकीकृत गरेर, सरकारले आफ्नो सांस्कृतिक सम्पदाको सम्मान गर्ने र द्रुत रूपमा बढ्दै गएको शहरी जनसंख्याका लागि आधुनिक सुविधाहरू र कुशल सार्वजनिक सेवाहरू प्रदान गर्ने बस्न योग्य शहरहरू सिर्जना गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ।
