A groundbreaking health sector reform has been launched, providing free basic healthcare services to all citizens through a restructured national insurance model. The Balen Shah cabinet decided to upgrade primary health centers in all 77 districts with modern diagnostic equipment and essential medicines. This initiative focuses on preventive care and maternal health, aiming to reduce the mortality rate significantly.
